"let me introduce myself..."
Hi, I'm Alison Griffiths-Brown, co-founder of Wellbeing-4-life, and I've been helping people with their health since 2008.
I used to believe I was healthy and thought I ate a healthy diet full of all the foods I needed to keep me going each day.
I'd never skip breakfast, always making sure I'd have my cereal or toast in the morning with fruit juice and a cup of tea, but then come mid morning I'd start to crave chocolate...
...so I'd give into this craving and have that chocolate bar, followed not long after by a sandwich and crisps at lunch, perhaps some fruit in the afternoon and then come tea time I'd be more than ready for my evening meal, which I'd eat but still feel hungry afterwards!
"I'm sure you've noticed this too, right?"
I also came to realise that I was tired all the time, at my biggest size I'd ever been and always ill, forever picking up all the coughs and colds in the office.
This realisation made me feel totally fed up with what I was doing but unsure where to start on making a change for the better.
Is this making sense?
"I knew I needed to do something..."
... or else things would carry on as they were; with me getting more and more tired, larger and larger, sicker and sicker.
Also, being as my dad died of a heart attack when I was 16, I didn't want to have greater health problems in the future such as diabetes or even heart disease which does run in my family.
So I took a step back and really looked at WHAT I was eating on a daily basis & WHEN I was eating it.
"What I found was..."
...that I was really lackingin SO MANY AREAS!
Whilst I wasn't actually skipping meals, the balance of my meals weren't great and they weren't varied enough.
The food I was eating, that we are often told by the Government, NHS and the Food Industry is good for us, wasn't actually so healthy; like the cereal/ toast/ juice I'd have everyday for breakfast.
I felt at that point that, for the sake of my own health, I needed to take more control back over my life.
"Do you ever feel like this?"
So I started to do my own research about what I really needed to be doing to be healthy.
I was learning how to read food labels, track my meals and snacks, look at what affected my blood sugars plus so much more to try and work out what to do.
I've always enjoyed my food and have never been able to say no to anything so I was worried that my cravings would be too great to make any long lasting changes to my diet.
"Would I have enough willpower to stick at it?? It was a worry to me!"
Can you relate to this?
I was looking at food labels, changing my diet, starting to cook meals myself from scratch instead of jars and ready meals BUT I was getting really stressed out with how long things were taking me to look up and work out.
"I couldn't be bothered with the whole calorie counting and weighing out stuff as that would have been even worse!"
Whilst I found I could be good some days I wasn't actually very well organised and I'd very quickly fall back into my bad habits if someone offered me a biscuit at a meeting or I'd forget to buy what I needed for dinner that day.
Eventually however, with lots of trial and error, tears and frustration, I managed to work out EXACTLY what I needed to eat, and when to eat it, and since then I have maintained my perfect weight all year round...
"...am never bloated, have amazing energy levels and concentration whilst NEVER falling ill with coughs and colds!"
I realised that if I had been struggling with this then many other people probably were too and maybe they could benefit from my years of trial and error and reap the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.
So...in time... I started helping others achieve the same fantastic results and that is where my 5 Day Challenge comes it.
I worked out there were just 5 simple habits that people needed to do on a daily basis that would tick all the boxes.
"My 5 Day Challenge allows me to introduce each of these habits to you in a simple way."

"I loved the 5 day challenge! it pulled me back on track and made me think about what I should be eating and when. Our son loves all fitness and healthy eating stuff and enjoyed the 5 days too. It was a real bonus that I was doing it alongside my husband too and it made his work easy, having an Ideal Breakfast in the morning.
